2011 Hyundai Sonata — First Drive

The 2011 Sonata is the second vehicle to use Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture styling theme (the Tucson compact SUV was the first). 2010 Nissan 370Z Convertible – FIRST DRIVE

The Nissan 370Z Coupe was redesigned for 2009, and the Convertible gets that treatment for the 2010 model year. Like its stablemate, the Convertible has a wheelbase that is almost four inches shorter, which improves an already fine-handling car.
Better handling and greater refinement add up to a better Z Roadster.

Ford gives its style wagon real muscle to flex.
Boxy on purpose, Ford’s Flex also has a lean look, thanks to its dachshund-like 118-inch wheelbase. The blacked-out roof pillars and dark privacy glass help elongate the Flex’s wagon shape.

A new V10 engine makes the Audi R8 a serious contender for supercar supremacy.
The R8 5.2 FSI features a reworked front fascia with larger air inlets and an aggressive lower lip. The world’s first all-LED headlamps are a hallmark of the V10-powered car.
The 2010 Audi R8 5.2 FSI could be construed as a budget supercar — if such a thing exists. But you wouldn’t know it from the performance, which is world-class.

First Drive: 2010 Acura ZDX

Acura looks to compete in a class of two with the all-new ZDX.
The luxury crossover segment is growing like a California wildfire, but Acura’s new ZDX competes in a very specific niche of that segment, also occupied by the BMW X6. Acura is actually calling the 2010 ZDX a 4-door sports coupe, not a crossover.

Regardless, it’s a crossover designed to fall between the company’s MDX and RL in both size and price.
